Human Extremes

Yesterday I had a conversation with a genius. He knows a lot of things. It was as if he made the world. Why can he be so different to me when in fact we're just the same human beings. My neighbours yell at me telling that I am an idiot. Who are they to say I am when in fact I did not do anything to hurt them?

To let you know an idiot by definition is someone who is mentally deficient or someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counter productive way. Mentally deficient but not mentally retarded. There is so much difference to those words. If I can't understand a thing it's because you can't explain very well. If you see others nodding at you it's just because they pretend they knew though they don't. In that case, who's the idiot?

When I sit there and doing nothing, it's because I am in deep thought about the world. What else could I do to make a better place to live in? It hurts me a lot when they say I am lazy, stupid, imbecile. Yet, you never understand what I feel. I am not a genius. I am not as intelligent as they are. But I know what is right and wrong. When you shout at me I am hurt yet you never feel that.

I want to cry to the world and shout I am not an IDIOT.

Do you know Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Blaise Pascal, or Galileo Galilei? Of course you do.

They are the people responsible for what we are enjoying right now. Technology.

We consider them as genius. But what set them a part from us? If I say I am genius, who are you to say I am not? It is easy to say that you are genius yet it's hard to say why? No genius said that he is one, the same as a mad man who never admits being mad. Is there really a fine line between genius and madness?

Truthfully speaking, Albert Einstein had a comparably bigger brain compared to others but it does not directly imply that because of bigger brain a person could be considered a genius.

As I understand things genetic reasons, development of the baby and the surroundings can make a gifted child. It runs in the blood as they say. While the baby is still developing inside the mothers womb, the nourishment gain by the mother affecsts the condition of the baby. And of course, the talent she has could be further enhanced with supportive environment.

There are three common characteristics of genius people:

Focused- A genius usually focused on something that triggered his curiosity. As much as possible he avoids destructions. In this case, the intense emotion you put on what you're doing will make your mind think or function efficiently. Through the process of concentration your mind will pop up any creative ideas.

Systematic- Most of the genius are systematic. They may right down or record things that they have done. It's for validation and evaluation of the work done.

Open Minded- a genius never stops on learning what he already knew, he always looked at the other side of the coin thinking “what if”.

A person is considered genius when he has an IQ of 150 and above. IQ or Intelligent Quotient measures the IQ of a person through series of questions. However, IQ is testing what you have learned and if you have not learn it you will be getting a low IQ which is very unfair. The concept of EQ arises. EQ or Emotional Quotient is a measure of persons capacity to learn and achieve on an emotional level. There are numerous testing systems out there to determine your EQ. An EQ can’t be learned or adjust overtime. Its not how much you know but how well you adapt to situations. Any kind of situations and one thing I have learned over the past 10 years is that I should always surround myself with people who have high EQ.

EQ is considered as a floating iceberg. A person could be very intelligent yet without a high EQ at some point he will definitely fail at everything he does. Thus, the truth is a genius is someone who has a balanced IQ and EQ. So I am.
